The gripe treatment that targets the cause. Colix Infant Drops work on both breast milk and formula by aiding the digestion of lactose and preventing gas build-up.
How Colix helps
Colix Infant Drops contain a purified lactase enzyme that breaks the milk sugar lactose down into two easily-digested sugars, glucose and galactose. Not all babies produce enough lactase to digest lactose with ease. Undigested lactose is broken down by bacteria in the colon, producing hydrogen gas that causes the bloating and pain referred to as colic. Colix is used as a supplement to support and assist the digestion of lactose in breast milk and formula.

Breastfeeding: Express about 10 ml of breast milk (or use 10 ml water) into a container, add 2 drops of Colix, administer to baby with a spoon, then breastfeed as normal.
Infant formula: Make up formula as per instructions, add 2 drops of Colix per 90 ml of warm formula, allow to stand for 30 minutes shaking occasionally, then feed as normal.
Colix may be administered before each and every feed. Enzymes are destroyed by excessive heat – do not add to milk that is too hot or too cold.

faq
How do I use Colix with breast milk?
Express about 10 ml of breast milk (or use 10 ml of water) into a container, add 2 drops of Colix, and give it to your baby with a spoon — then breastfeed as normal.
How do I use Colix with formula?
Make up the formula as usual, add 2 drops of Colix per 90 ml of warm formula, allow it to stand for about 30 minutes (shaking occasionally), then feed as normal.
How often can I give it?
Colix may be given before each and every feed.
Why does the milk need to be warm — not hot or cold?
Enzymes are destroyed by excessive heat, so Colix works best in warm milk. Don't add it to milk that's too hot or too cold, or the lactase enzyme won't work properly.
Can I give Colix and still breastfeed normally?
Yes. Colix is designed to work alongside normal feeding - you add it before the feed and then breastfeed or bottle-feed your baby as usual.
